Sanya Sequeira is an independent filmmaker who specializes in post production, as well as the Co-Founder of The Annex, an audio video solutions production house.

She started her career in San Francisco around 2011, where she gained hands on experience on set by being a gaffer. Working around diverse crew members in the Bay Area, she got the chance to dig deeper into the art of storytelling.  After many hours on set and in dive bars, she found her true calling with film editing.

In 2013,  she was given the opportunity to be a Re-Recording Mixer for Roger Corman's feature filmed in San Francisco. Working on feature & short films, she got to develop her skills as a director, producer and editor. By late 2014, she went into creating digital content videos for tech agencies delivering stories for companies such as Google & Twitter.

Over the past five years she’s had the opportunity of being a lecturer for SAE Institute in Dubai, teaching Filmmaking and Video Editing short courses.

Throughout the years she’s had the opportunity to work on projects that have acquired her to take various paths such as re-recording sound mixing, video editing, video production, color grading, dialogue editing, ADR recordings, sound editing & designing content.

Working on multiple formats in the industry has opened her love for working with a team and learning from peers. Her skills and creative ideas are heightened when placed in situations where she needs to adapt quickly.

When not working she can be found taking photos of her cats, sleeping, drinking coffee, or watching The Office on repeat.
